The first section is a wonderful lesson or brief story that Debby has selected from a variety of sources, including e-mails and other church bulletins. She researches each story on a weekly basis to make it relevent to the family at Elgin. |

The next section will contain family news and prayer requests for members of our congregation, as well as the community at large. This sections also contains announcements of birthdays and anniversaries. |

Visitors
|
Stan Day initiated a wonderful plan to help record a list of visitors each week. Mark Posey does a great job of collecting this information and distributing it to both Stan & Debby. |

Bible Trivia
|
This section includes questions that relate to specific facts that are written about in the Bible. Each week, there are two new questions and also the answers to the previous week's questions. |

|
Of course, scriptures are also included each week. |
|
|
|
|
Each week, the bulletin asks our members to continue to pray for our military leaders and those who are serving under them and their families waiting here at home. |

There is always also a reminder about three segments that appear on television each week.
- "In Search of the Lord's Way" appears each Sunday, 7:00 a.m. on Fox 43 (cable channel 11)
- "Preaching the Gospel" appears each Sunday, 7:30 a.m. on WBXX 20, cabel channel 9).
- "The Bible View" appears each Sunday, 3:30 p.m. and Thursday at 6:30 p.m. on cable channel 5.

Then there is the Just for Fun section which contain jokes and funny stories. Some are purely just for fun. The daily readings from the Bible are encouraged for each member to follow throughout the week. These readings are all taken from the Back to the Bible website.
